Next!

Maybe it’s the snowstorm we are expecting tomorrow on April 1st but I’m dreaming of an outdoor tea. The snow is bound to disappear eventually and be replaced with a carpet of green.

I imagine bringing out my favorite vintage table cloths and colorful dishes. We’ll eat scones and cream and have mimosas. We’ll enjoy the sunshine and the sounds of spring. We will have a little craft project to celebrate the day.

I’m thinking mid-May for the next gathering of Grammie Rose’s Camp. Stay tuned!

EDITED February 9, 2013: This didn't happen as I had hoped back then. Maybe this year.

Well, Kat, seems like this plan is still ready to happen. Maybe you need to blow the dust off it and bring it to fruition(sp?). We are waitng... if you do it we will come......

Grammie Rose was my husband's grandmother. She and Grampa Phil owned a camp across the river from their house. They would go to camp on evenings and weekends to listen to a ball game, play cards, or simply to get away from the day to day. When the time came, Grammie Rose's Camp became an escape from the day to day for my young family. In 2006, my dear husband finished building my dream home where camp once stood. Our front porch is built with timbers of that beloved old building. My dream is to create a place for women to gather and talk, eat and create pretty things. I think Grammie Rose would approve.
